We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse Specialist with deep expertise in integrating geospatial and alphanumeric data into scalable analytical solutions. This role will focus on architecting spatial data lakes and warehouses, building efficient ETL pipelines, and creating interactive dashboards that deliver critical insights for data-rich landscapes involving land use, resource tracking, environmental metrics, and operational logistics.
Ideal candidates will bring both strategic vision and technical depth—advising on modern data architecture while delivering production-ready BI assets that support complex, map-based decision-making environments.
Architect and implement enterprise-scale data lake and warehouse solutions for high-volume geospatial and tabular data.
Design robust ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools to integrate structured, semi-structured, and spatial data.
Develop optimized data models to support reporting, exploration, and decision analytics across diverse subject areas (e.g., environmental assets, operational activity, resource management).
Build interactive dashboards and geospatial visualizations using Power BI and ArcGIS, enabling end-users to analyze trends, patterns, and spatial relationships.
Provide input on data platform architecture, selecting tools and frameworks suitable for performance, scalability, and AI/ML enrichment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data products and spatial analytics workflows.
Lead best practices around metadata management, data lineage, governance, and stewardship of integrated geospatial and business data.
Support evolving analytical needs by aligning data architecture with AI/ML-based enrichment, including spatial-temporal models, predictive layers, and scenario modeling.
5+ years of experience in BI and data warehousing with direct involvement in geospatial data integration.
Strong expertise in:
Spatial data modeling and analysis
ETL/ELT scripting and orchestration using tools like SQL and Python
Building Power BI dashboards with map visualizations, KPIs, and drill-down functionality
ArcGIS for spatial analytics, geoprocessing, and custom layer integration
Demonstrated experience integrating large, disparate datasets into a unified analytical environment.
Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in data-rich, cross-disciplinary contexts.
Technical degree in GIS, Computer Science, Environmental Informatics, or a related field
Familiarity with Azure Data Services, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar modern cloud platforms
Exposure to AI/ML pipelines in a business intelligence or spatial analytics context
Knowledge of spatial data standards, geocoding techniques, and metadata tagging practices
Background supporting mission-oriented, public-sector programs involving conservation, land management, logistics, or field operations
