We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst / Computer Systems Engineer to support complex data engineering and analysis functions across multiple systems and projects. The ideal candidate will be experienced in designing and optimizing data pipelines, migrating legacy data structures, automating data validation and transformation processes, and implementing infrastructure improvements across cloud and on-premise environments.
A strong foundation in SQL (T-SQL or PL/pgSQL), Python or PowerShell, ETL/ELT, and Azure data services is required. Experience with ArcGIS Data Interoperability and SSIS is preferred. A background in geospatial data and systems is highly desirable.
Design and implement data schemas, models, and pipelines for large-scale data integration and analysis.
Lead migration of legacy databases to modern, scalable platforms.
Develop complex SQL scripts (T-SQL or PL/pgSQL) and Python/PowerShell utilities for data manipulation, transformation, and automation.
Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and related technologies.
Conduct automated data quality checks and develop robust QC/QA processes.
Document business rules, transformation logic, and data workflows.
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze system requirements and propose infrastructure and performance optimizations.
Support on-site data/system reviews as needed.
Leverage ArcGIS Data Interoperability tools and contribute to geospatial data solutions when applicable.
Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis and engineering roles.
Proven experience with:
SQL (T-SQL or PL/pgSQL)
Python or PowerShell scripting
ETL/ELT processes and tools (Azure, SSIS)
Data schema design and migration
Familiarity with cloud data environments, particularly Azure.
Ability to automate and document data workflows and quality controls.
Technical degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience with ArcGIS, especially Data Interoperability Extension.
Background or familiarity with geospatial data systems and GIS concepts.
Experience working in federal or defense-related environments.
