Required Certifications (must hold at least one):

  • CompTIA Network+

  • CompTIA Security+

  • Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) – Windows Server Administration Fundamentals

  • MTA – Windows Operating System Fundamentals

  • MTA – Security Fundamentals

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Candidates must hold at least one active certification at the time of hire.


Position Overview

Oran Inc. is seeking an Application Support Specialist (Help Desk Technician) to provide front-line technical support to Federal Occupational Health (FOH) users. The specialist will troubleshoot, document, and resolve IT issues while ensuring compliance with established processes and delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to user support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and network issues.

  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.

  • Document user interactions, reported issues, and resolutions in the ticketing system.

  • Support account access, configurations, and application functionality.

  • Follow standard operating procedures and escalation workflows.

  • Provide user guidance and basic training as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred; in lieu of degree, at least 2 years of IT support experience.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing tools and documentation standards.

  • Ability to work effectively under supervision and follow established guidelines.


Preferred Certifications and Skills

  • ITIL Foundation Certification (for IT service management best practices).

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.

  • Experience with Active Directory (AD) and user account management.

  • Hands-on experience with Office 365 support and administration.

  • Knowledge of ServiceNow or other ITSM/ticketing platforms.

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices in federal environments.


Clearance Requirement

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
