DevOps Architect

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Technical Lead to oversee DevOps activities for systems migration projects and manage stable cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code, with experience supporting secure and scalable federal systems. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to drive innovation in DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead DevOps automation, configuration management, and continuous integration activities.

  • Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, and operational support.

  • Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Perform security scans, test automation, continuous delivery, and production deployments.

  • Collaborate with development, security, and technical teams to ensure stable, secure, and scalable environments.

  • Leverage open-source tools and modern DevSecOps practices to improve operational efficiency.

  • Drive continual technology advancement through agile, collaborative environments.

  • Lead administration automation, process improvements, and technology best practice recommendations.

  • Provide investigations, analyses, and actionable recommendations to optimize systems and processes.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 8+ years of DevOps engineering experience supporting large-scale systems.

  • Strong expertise in AWS, CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and automation.

  • Knowledge of DevSecOps tools, cloud operations, and open-source technologies.

  • Experience with API Gateway (APIGW) and large-scale system applications.

  • Proven leadership in guiding teams, mentoring, and process improvement.

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • SAFe Agile Certification required.
