Position Overview

Oran Inc. is seeking an experienced Collibra Platform Engineer to support enterprise data management and data governance initiatives.

The Collibra Platform Engineer will be responsible for administering, configuring, maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform across development, test, and production environments. The role will support enterprise data catalog, metadata management, data governance, business glossary, stewardship, workflow automation, metadata harvesting, data lineage, and system integrations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Collibra administration and configuration, Collibra workflows, Collibra Edge, Jobserver, metadata harvesting and lineage, REST APIs, Java/JDK-based services, Linux and Windows environments, and enterprise application integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and configure Collibra across development, test, and production environments.
• Configure and maintain Collibra communities, domains, assets, relationships, roles, permissions, and operating models.
• Implement, modify, and maintain Collibra operating models supporting enterprise data governance.
• Develop and maintain workflows using Collibra Workflow Designer.
• Support and modernize legacy workflows using Collibra Workflow Manager for Eclipse.
• Configure and support Collibra Edge for metadata harvesting and technical lineage.
• Support Collibra Jobserver and metadata harvesting activities, including migration from Jobserver to Edge where applicable.
• Maintain metadata source integrations across heterogeneous enterprise environments.
• Support Collibra Data Catalog, Business Glossary, Stewardship, Assessments, Reference Data, Policy Manager, and Usage Analytics capabilities.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Java/JDK-based microservices and supporting components.
• Develop and support REST API integrations with enterprise applications and data platforms.
• Perform logging, exception handling, coding, integration testing, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain software components and services deployed on Linux and Windows servers.
• Manage certificates, secrets, service accounts, credentials, and related integration dependencies.
• Troubleshoot platform incidents, integration issues, workflow failures, and metadata harvesting problems.
• Use source-code management and Agile work-management platforms such as Azure DevOps or comparable technologies.
• Create and manage Agile epics, features, stories, and technical tasks.
• Support software testing, release management, deployment, change control, and production validation.
• Participate in vulnerability remediation, access-control reviews, cybersecurity activities, and secure system administration.
• Maintain technical documentation, system inventories, runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Provide technical support and guidance to data governance teams, data stewards, platform users, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data engineering, and enterprise architecture teams.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on Collibra experience.
• Collibra Solution Architect certification OR Collibra Ranger certification is required.
• Experience administering and configuring Collibra in multi-environment implementations.
• Experience implementing and modifying Collibra operating models.
• Experience with Collibra Workflow Designer.
• Experience supporting Collibra Workflow Manager for Eclipse or legacy Collibra workflows.
• Experience with Collibra Edge, including metadata harvesting and lineage configuration.
• Experience with Collibra Jobserver, including metadata harvesting.
• Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting JDK/Java-based microservices.
• Experience with REST APIs, logging, exception handling, coding, and integration testing.
• Experience maintaining software components on Linux servers.
• Experience maintaining software components on Windows servers.
• Experience managing certificates, secrets, service-account credentials, and integration dependencies.
• Experience with source-code management and Agile work-item tracking platforms.
• Ability to work during Eastern Time business hours.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to successfully complete a Public Trust / suitability background investigation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.

Work Environment

This is a remote, U.S.-based position. Candidates must be available during Eastern Time business hours. Occasional travel or in-person meetings may be required with advance notice.
