Position Overview

Oran Inc. is seeking an experienced Collibra Platform Engineer to support enterprise data management and data governance initiatives.

The Collibra Platform Engineer will be responsible for administering, configuring, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform across multiple environments. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Collibra administration, operating models, workflows, metadata harvesting, data lineage, Collibra Edge, Jobserver, Java/JDK-based microservices, REST APIs, Linux and Windows environments, and enterprise application integrations.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of Collibra platform expertise, software/integration engineering experience, and enterprise data governance knowledge.

Mandatory Qualification

Candidates MUST possess one of the following certifications:

• Collibra Solution Architect Certification, OR
• Collibra Ranger Certification

Candidates who do not possess one of these certifications will not be considered.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must meet all 13 requirements below.

1. Hands-on Collibra Experience

• Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on Collibra experience.

2. Collibra Certification – Mandatory

• Must possess either:
  • Collibra Solution Architect Certification, or
  • Collibra Ranger Certification.

3. Multi-Environment Collibra Administration

• Experience administering and configuring Collibra across multiple environments, such as Development, Test/QA, and Production.
• Experience managing Collibra configurations, permissions, roles, assets, domains, communities, and relationships.

4. Collibra Operating Models

• Experience implementing and modifying Collibra operating models.
• Ability to configure operating models based on enterprise data governance requirements.

5. Collibra Workflow Experience

• Experience supporting workflows built using:
  • Collibra Workflow Designer
  • Collibra Workflow Manager for Eclipse
• Ability to troubleshoot, modify, maintain, and support Collibra workflows.

6. Collibra Edge

• Experience with Collibra Edge, including:
  • Metadata harvesting
  • Metadata integration
  • Technical lineage
  • Lineage configuration
  • Troubleshooting Edge-related integrations

7. Collibra Jobserver

• Experience with Collibra Jobserver, including metadata harvesting.
• Experience supporting Jobserver configurations, integrations, troubleshooting, and harvesting processes.

8. JDK-Based Microservices

• Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting JDK/Java-based microservices.
• Ability to troubleshoot Java-based application components and services.

9. REST APIs & Integration Engineering

• Experience working with REST APIs and enterprise system integrations.
• Experience with:
  • Logging
  • Exception handling
  • Coding
  • Integration testing
  • Troubleshooting API and integration issues

10. Linux

• Experience maintaining software components and application services on Linux servers.
• Ability to troubleshoot application and integration issues in Linux environments.

11. Windows

• Experience maintaining software components and application services on Windows servers.
• Ability to troubleshoot application and integration issues in Windows environments.

12. Certificates, Secrets & Service Accounts

• Experience managing:
  • Digital certificates
  • Secrets

• Understanding of secure credential and certificate management practices.

13. Source Code Management & Agile Work Tracking

• Experience using platforms for source code management and Agile work-item tracking.

  • Defects/Bugs
• Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or comparable platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and configure the Collibra platform across development, test, and production environments.
• Maintain Collibra assets, domains, communities, relationships, roles, permissions, and configurations.
• Implement and modify Collibra operating models.
• Develop, maintain, modify, and troubleshoot Collibra workflows.
• Support both modern Workflow Designer workflows and legacy Eclipse-based workflows.
• Configure and support Collibra Edge for metadata harvesting and technical lineage.
• Support Collibra Jobserver and metadata harvesting processes.
• Troubleshoot metadata harvesting, lineage, workflow, and integration issues.
• Develop, maintain, and support Java/JDK-based microservices.
• Develop and support REST API integrations between Collibra and enterprise systems.
• Perform application logging, exception handling, coding, debugging, and integration testing.
• Maintain software components across Linux and Windows server environments.
• Manage certificates, secrets, service accounts, credentials, and integration dependencies.
• Support source-code management, configuration management, version control, and release activities.
• Track development and operational work through Agile epics, stories, tasks, and defects.
• Participate in testing, deployment, production validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with data governance, data engineering, application development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams.
• Provide technical support for Collibra users and enterprise data governance stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Security & Work Authorization

• Must be able to successfully complete the required Public Trust / suitability investigation.
• This position requires the ability to work with Federal systems and information subject to applicable security and access-control requirements.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a hands-on Collibra Platform Engineer who can work across both the Collibra platform and supporting technical infrastructure. The successful candidate should be comfortable moving beyond basic Collibra administration and working with workflows, metadata harvesting, lineage, Edge, Jobserver, Java/JDK services, REST integrations, Linux, Windows, and DevOps processes.
